About
background
I received my undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Statistics from University of Mumbai. Following this I got my PhD in Statistics from North Carolina State University advised by Prof. Ryan Martin.
Research
My PhD dissertation was focused on non parametric estimation of a mixing distribution under a general mixture model (thesis link). This has exposed me to problems in multiple areas like directional data, spatial statistics, small area estimation and large scale multiple testing. Currently I work in anytime inference and spatio-temporal data in addition to mixture densities.
Work
I have had the opportunites to teach, mentor and consult in the university. A brief stint in the pharmaceutical industry gave me the chance to apply my knowledge. I enjoy each of these aspects in addition to my methodological research. Please refer to my CV for additional information.
